When?
Complete CDD checks for all vendors, buyers, and any third parties before marketing or progressing with a transaction.
What to Collect:
Photo ID (choose ONE): Passport, full driving licence, EEA/UK ID card, etc.
Proof of Address (choose ONE, dated within 3 months unless stated): Council Tax, utility bill, bank/mortgage statement, HMRC/DWP letter, tenancy agreement, etc.
If no photo ID → collect 3 docs (birth cert/old licence, bank statement, proof of address).
Not accepted: provisional driving licences, mobile phone bills, credit card statements.
Certification (if copies): Must be signed, dated, and marked “Certified to be a true copy” by a professional (e.g., solicitor, doctor, post office, police officer, MP).
Form Completion:
Fill out the Customer Due Diligence form with applicant details.
Record property address, applicant type (individual, company, executor, POA, etc.), and any third-party involvement.
Staff member signs off the check and attaches supporting docs.
